On Saturday 12 April, Welsh Athletics hosted the UK's first Women's Running Conference at the University of South Wales in Newport. Charlotte Arter was very generous in talking to me about her journey into athletics and all things running.

Charlotte is a distance runner who has represented Wales at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Previously she worked for Cardiff University, managing their high performance athletics programme and is the current Welsh record holder in the half marathon and joint women's Parkrun record holder, setting a time of 15 minutes and 49 seconds at Cardiff Parkrun on 1 February 2020.
